A travel agency is a private retailer or public service that offers travel and tourism-related services on behalf of accommodations or travel suppliers to the general public, providing various travel packages for each destination. Among the agency’s activities are selling transportation tickets to other customers and travel agencies, hotel reservations, and tourism services.
To enhance the services defined for the travel agency, it is necessary to provide business intelligence tools for these areas to facilitate more precise and targeted planning. Business intelligence is the process of collecting, storing, analyzing, and transforming raw data into actionable insights, helping organizations make data-driven decisions.
The dashboard can significantly impact the organization, especially as the agency is in constant contact with customers and other travel agencies. Analyzing customer behavior, purchases, and canceled tickets is essential.
Some aspects the dashboard could address in sales analysis include examining sales distribution over time, ranking routes, ranking airlines, the ratio of successful to changed flights, the number of canceled tickets, and demand from airlines and customers. Each of these can be analyzed in terms of sales volume and total cost.
In customer performance, customer grouping and revenue, time since the last purchase, and customer details can be examined. Finally, in the area of ticket cancellations, trends in ticket cancellations over time, cancellations by airline and route, cancellation types, and the ratio of canceled tickets to total tickets can be assessed based on ticket count and total cost. These tools can help measure the quality of services provided to customers and rectify any potential issues. This document aims to provide reports including service information and service capacity based on the requests from the esteemed operator’s domain.
