Engineers from a startup based in the Khorasan Science and Technology Park have launched a ChatGPT language model for organizational applications, claiming that this product has the highest adaptability to the Persian language and its grammar.
Hadi Kalamati, the CEO of AHD | Wise Intelligent Agents startup, stated in an interview with ISNA that the company focuses on artificial intelligence and business intelligence, with one branch located in the Khorasan Information Technology Park and another at the University of Science and Technology.
He added that the team comprises students, graduates, and professors from the Data Mining Laboratory of the University of Science and Technology in Tehran, as well as the Center of Excellence in Soft Computing and Intelligent Information Processing at Ferdowsi University. Our research is specifically in the area of text processing. One of the advanced models that has emerged globally in recent years includes language models like ChatGPT and Google Bard.
Kalamaty emphasized that some data governance projects in certain countries are vital initiatives, such as routing software like “Neshan,” stating that the presence of Google Maps does not negate the development of such applications, as they store valuable and strategically important data.
The CEO of the company, AHD | Wise Intelligent Agents, remarked that language models like ChatGPT are also among these essential projects. Every government and country aims to create its local and native model since these models, with their remarkable potentials, can significantly aid governance layers within countries.
He continued that one of the startup’s missions in artificial intelligence is to develop language models like ChatGPT, and recently, they have developed a model with 35B parameters, high accuracy, and remarkable adaptability in the Persian language.
Kalamati noted that the aim of this product is to enhance response speed for customer support within organizations.
He mentioned that one application of language models is creating a chatbot and added that to facilitate interaction with this model, they have launched a voice-to-text service. With this service, users no longer need to type their questions; instead, they can ask their questions verbally, which will be converted to text by the voice-to-text service.
This innovator highlighted that the generated text is sent to the designed language model. This model has inference capabilities, producing responses and delivering them to the user.
He pointed out that one of the significant features of language models is their ability to operate across different languages. In classic models used in past years, separate models had to be created for different languages like Persian and English. However, these new models allow users to communicate easily in any language.
The CEO added that it is possible to grant this model access to regulations and organizational information in Persian, allowing even Arabic speakers to converse about these regulations with it.
Regarding the role of these language models in governance, he stated that they possess inference capabilities. While human minds have analytical skills but limited memory, these models can hold vast amounts of information and process a significant amount of data fairly at once to provide solutions to problems.
Kalamati stressed that the more data these models have, the more comprehensive their responses will be, and this method can assist leaders in solving national issues.
He mentioned the application of the developed language model in scientific fields, stating that they have designed a beta version of this model, training it on 750M tokens during the design phase, with tests indicating high accuracy in Persian. This product is one of the most adaptable to the Persian language and its grammar.
The CEO of the startup AHD | Wise Intelligent Agents announced the signing of a contract with Astan Quds Razavi to apply this model and added that they have two other contracts in progress with two ministries, aiming to break down this project into smaller initiatives so that smaller businesses can also utilize this language model.
He reiterated that they aim for every business to load its data onto this language model and easily create their chatbot without needing programming knowledge in an interactive space.
